The thermometric fluid used here is a mixture of toluene (often used as a solvent) with a dye.

You can easily attach it to a window frame made of plastic, aluminum or wood. Thanks to the special ends with adhesive tape, you can quickly attach the thermometer anywhere you want without having to drill holes. However, the additional openings in the holder also make it possible to screw the thermometer to a window. It can be installed on either the right or left side of the window and is usually screwed to the frame.

The size of this thermometer ensures optimal readability of the values indicated on the scale, while at the same time maintaining the elegant proportions of the device. Reading the outside temperature now becomes a quick and really clear pleasure! The thermometer consists of a glass tube and a scale printed on a plastic base. The design features a thermometric fluid - a mixture of toluene (solvent) and a dye.

It is best to mount the thermometer in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight. Excessive irradiation can lead to fading of the print on the underlayer. The direct impact of solar radiation – especially in summer – can cause temperatures to rise above 50°C, leading to fluid expansion and capillary rupture.
