Energizing and detoxifying effect

Kombucha is best known for its energizing and detoxifying effect.

Vegetable

The Kombucha starter is not tested on animals.

What you need for your first kombucha:
  • 1 x kombucha starter of 100ml
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 900 ml. water
  • 2 bags of black tea or 2 teaspoons of loose black tea

Bring the water to the boil and add the tea bags or loose tea, let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tea and add the sugar. Stir well until the sugar has dissolved. Now let the tea cool. Pour the cooled tea into a Kefirko glass or a preserving jar and add 100 ml of kombucha starter. When using the Kefirko, loosely screw the lid on the pot. Now let the tea ferment for 7-14 days. The Scoby will form on the surface. After 1 week, carefully test whether the kombucha tastes good. When the kombucha tastes good (no longer too sweet nor too sour), carefully remove the scoby from the jar and save it for the next batch of kombucha.

About Kefirko

With the Kefirko all in one glass jar, making kefir and kombucha is a piece of cake. The idea arose because making kefir and kombucha at home can be quite a hassle and takes a lot of time. Not something you want to do every day. That is why they have designed an 'all in one' glass jar with which you can do the entire fermentation process of kefir or kombucha. So no more hassle with separate glasses, sieves and measuring cups.
