Review (s)
In nature there is more to eat than you think. This book is a kind of cookbook for plants from nature (fruits, seeds and the like, and leaves and stalks of herbaceous plants). In addition, precisely intended to recognize risky (poisonous) species. The introduction is about where and how to use, explanation of symbols and gives six basic recipes. The 164 treated species (each with excellent color photograph) are described in detail (hardly helps to name the species). Furthermore, something about application (arranged with a recipe) and details about, among other things, the location. It has been indicated whether a species is edible or poisonous. Dutch and Latin name (no errors found!) Are listed (as in the somewhat difficult to use register). The word 'all' on the back flap is exaggerated, because the booklet is too small for that. Also because not only Dutch species are treated. With the photos a few inaccuracies. The explanation about the leaf edge is wrong. The picking calendar gives 20 of the 164 species. The top 10 is unnecessary. Some plant knowledge is important. Especially to be used as a leaflet for the recognition of species.
